Now this is beautiful
I've never seen such a rich-looking new MG, and this shot shows off the new inlays really nicely. Click the middle picture for the full view :

Of course, you won't see me breaking out my credit card!

Simply gorgeous.... I wish I could say I needed another Ric 12-string!
Those inlays really do stand out, and that shade of mapleglo looks delicious.

If you find the hidden "next" button, there are a couple of extra shots that add to the "delicious" factor.

Oh yes indeed.... those extra pics really show off the flame in the maple--yum!
Re: Now this is beautiful
I do need a 12-string and that one looks dreamy
I have to be patient a little while longer but ... could be one like that in my future
What are they asking for it? I didn't see any prices there.

All I wanna do is rock!

WOW,
That would be SO pretty with 4 strings!

I'm pretty sure it was John Hall, possibly on a thread over on the RIC site, who said they actually add a bit of color to the new UV cured finish to make it look a bit more like the old aged CV. Not as dark and golden, but not as light as a new CV.dpowell wrote:I heard something about the new UV finishes giving the MGs a yellow cast...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Wished my MG looked like that.

Is yours a 360 or 330 style? I like the lighter MG with my 330, as the look is so crisp and clean, however, with binding, the darker MG provides better contrast.

Given that we haven't yet deployed the UV finish, I have no idea what you guys are talking about.dpowell wrote:Makes you wonder why Amber Mapleglo never worked...cjj wrote:I'm pretty sure it was John Hall, possibly on a thread over on the RIC site, who said they actually add a bit of color to the new UV cured finish to make it look a bit more like the old aged CV. We're doing UV filler and sealer coats which makes the finish more durable and smoother, but doesn't change the color. UV clear coats won't happen until next month.
But trust me- ambered Maple looked absolutely terrible.

Nicotine-glo!
Re: Now this is beautiful
Oops, my mistake. It was Ben who mentioned that the new UV materials tend to yellow the finish a bit. And no, he didn't say anything about adding color to it, just my over 50 memory inventing stuff again...johnhall wrote:Given that we haven't yet deployed the UV finish, I have no idea what you guys are talking about.dpowell wrote:Makes you wonder why Amber Mapleglo never worked...cjj wrote: I'm pretty sure it was John Hall, possibly on a thread over on the RIC site, who said they actually add a bit of color to the new UV cured finish to make it look a bit more like the old aged CV. Anyway, here's the thread over on the RIC site:
