Just shipped Russ' Aquabass, which demanded very careful setup and detailing...see it at MARF on the 15th. No time to even take any final pictures...so I hope Russ will indulge me with some nice hi-res ones once he gets some time.

Taking stock, deep breath, next few coming up...

Can't make it to MARF, but whoever attends please take some nice photos. I'm dying to see how this bass looks all strung up and ready to play. Paul, I must say, you did a masterful job on that finish. Your work never ceases to amaze me.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Well, there's lots of projects nearing completion!

First, there's the bathroom remodel at the new hacienda. It's proceeding along apace:

Jdog's Combo 1000:

Four 700Cs, awaiting binding and necks; two will get "steer's head" headstocks"; here are three with exceptional grain:

Also, a 730L which will get one heck of a unique paint job, another jumbo acoustic that is the prototype of a new series, a whole passel of solid bodies, the 4001/4003 LS, and at least a half-dozen more ready to go into paint.

Cold snap keeps me out of the spray booth right now--hard frost on the ground, and no heat in the booth. Gotta have 55°F minimum...

More pics next week.

I trust that you & JDog have selected a finish that will highlight the grain on that little 1000. :D
