Man, I'd better not die tomorrow, or anytime within the next couple of weeks, otherwise I can see all too clearly how my epitaph is going to read:

"Mark Walker - Stroked the Guinea Pig on Ugly Betty."

which sounds like a specialty I should have gotten paid a LOT more for than I did.

Yeah, the Ugly Betty gig was a lot of fun, but unseasonably freezing and the models who had to wear skimpy party gowns and dance on high heels for 12 hours were NOT loving life in spite of what it looked like on set. America Ferrara was really nice, and in between scenes had a few choice political words aimed at a certain adminstration's use of "Homeland Security" - how we should borrow their footage when our own cameras were having technical difficulties. She told me that it takes 10 days to shoot one episode, and the days are 14 hours of shooting on average. And ~ for those of you who may have wondered - her braces and glasses are just props. She always took them off when not on camera. Mark Indelicato, the kid that plays Betty's teen-age nephew or cousin or whatever, is full-on living the dream, you can tell. He vogues off camera just as much as he does on. Vanessa Williams is every bit as stunning in really life as she is on camera or in print. And if you think I'm passing her digits to YOU - pull-LEAZZ!!!

So how did you get to be there and on camera? I must have missed something. Yeah, Vanessa Williams, oh boy. I'm not a fan of the show, but I've seen parts of a couple of episodes. Is it always filmed in NY, or was that just a location thing?
