Welcome to the forum Tara! Great news that it'll be showing up midday today (I think I've got the dateline thing right)!

But you know, without pictures, we won't really believe you...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Hi Tara :D

Welcome to the forum.

I'm sure the 360/12 will bring a smile to your face, even more so when you get it plugged in.

Must be close now !!!!!!

Congrats on your first Ric, and welcome to the forum, Tara! It must be exciting to have your first Ric. A 360/12, that's what I started with, but know I own a 660/12. I hope you can try and get yourself a 350V63, that sounds like the guitar for you.

I have a few favorites I like to play on the Rickenbacker that haven't been mentioned:

Rolling Stones - It's All Over Now, Not Fade Away, Tell Me (You're Coming Back), Under the Boardwalk, Mother's Little Helper
Tom Petty - The Waiting, American Girl, Saving Grace, Free Fallin'
The Who - I Can't Explain, So Sad About Us, Pictures of Lily, You Better You Bet

ric_ovic: any time! glad you enjoyed them!

JakeK: Thanks for the warm welcome! it's a very exciting time, I've been drooling over one for a long while, especially a 12 as it's my first.. and it's my first semi-hollow electric, too.. lots of firsts with this guitar!

I really really appreciate the lists of songs you're all posting, I've dug out quite a few old CDs, downloaded a couple of Guitar Pro files and set to go for a very blissful, relaxing and generally unproductive rainy weekend - Time for some serious RIC bonding!
