Above the Ground - Burton Cummings

Post by winston »

I don't know how I missed this announcement. I am usually on top of new releases and this one is especially more embarassing because Burton was a friend albeit oh so many years ago.

Above The Ground

Apparently he wrote all the songs himself and "We Just Came From the USA" has had some airplay in the USA. Has anyone heard it? If so I would be interested to read your review.

This interview is a great read:

I haven't heard it om the radio yet. Cool tune. Good to see Burton is still rocking. Interesting to see that this classic rocker that's been around a long time writes a song that uses a 5 string or detuned 4 string bass.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Wow,

I haven't heard this name in YEARS! I have an OLD LP from Burton Comings......I can't recall the name but the hit 45 RPM was "Stand Tall".

I have to get one of those new turntables that have a USB cable on it and start converting some of my old LPS.....
