Wow, that brings back some memories! I haven't heard that for years. Cool to see/hear some of the creative process that went into it too!
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Wow. Eight minutes of time travel! I have the vocal part of this on a Pet Sounds Sessions CD, but the video is masterfully made by a real Beach Boys enthusiast.

I would like to see Marello's "triple bellows shake" before I believe that the "mandolin" part near the end is, in fact, an accordion. If it is, it's heavily processed!

Thanks for posting that, George. Fascinating! That song was a big turning point for them creatively, and put them in the league of the immortals. Only rock and roll, indeed. 8)

Extremely interesting. Not being a huge Beach Boys fan, it was fascinating to see what all went into the song. Gives me a greater appreciation of their work on Pet Sounds, or a better appreciation of Brian.

That middle 8 of WIBN is just about as close to pop perfection as it gets. It really showcases the genius of Brian, who is, quite simply, up there with the best of the best in the last 50 years.

Neat slideshow to go along with the soundtrack.

I wasn't much of a Beach Boys fan back in the day, but I always liked this song. Simply a masterpiece.

I'm a really big Beach Boys fan. Thanks for posting that! It was really cool to be able to see that breakdown of the musicians. Hal Blaine and Jerry Cole are two of my favorite studio musicians who also released their own material.

I heard a story about when The Beach Boys were playing a show with The Left Banke and The Beach Boys were teasing The Left Banke by singing their Hit song "Walk Away Renee" ala Beach Boys Style.
