Andrew, Your notable sense of humor will serve you well in the coming months (or years) while you wait for your new Rick . Congratulations in advance.
All I wanna do is rock!

Well, that and my (hopefully, not too foolish) pursuit of learning to play guitar at the advanced age of 46.
"When you have mastered the entirety of the music from your vast CD/album collection on 6 strings, only then, Grasshopper, will your 12-string arrive."

Is it feasable that in the past Ric would have made a 620 with a 660 width neck?

No, my name is next to one of the regular, ol' B-flat, vanilla, fireglo 360/12s with standard hi-gain pickups. And I'm #2 in line for that model. Been waiting 18 months now. Should be hearing any day now....maybe....perhaps....if the stars are aligned just right...hopefully...Vertigho wrote:
Seriously though, Jim, I presume your name is next to one of the seven 360/12C63's on Rhoads' list in front of me. Congratulations (or would, "I'm so very sorry" be a better salutation?).

I'm waiting for a 360/12c63, though mine is coming from NCM, I'm number two on their list. It's now been 29 months since I ordered.

What are slides like on a 12 string? Much more difficult than on a 6 or not too hard?
Re: */12 models - tones, strengths, weaknesses, opinions?
I'm just a little downstream from Rickygirl with a 330/6 and 330/12. If you can play the 6, the 12 is just a bit more of a challenge.
But once you've strummed the "Hard Day's Night" chord on either the 330/12 or 360/12, you will be hooked for life. And a very enjoyable one at that.

I can't say it's any harder. The only trouble I have is that sometimes the slide doesn't contact the octave string of the G.JohnnyMarrFan wrote:What are slides like on a 12 string? Much more difficult than on a 6 or not too hard?
Jangle, Chime & Twang.

you would want to bring action hint higher than normal and make sure that nut slots and bridge slots are cut 100% perfect so both g strings are level - than you can slide on 12 string without missing octave g in the outcome - same goes for other octave strings.
the key is to have all the strings at the same height so you have full contact with whatever device you are using to slide with.

Thanks, but no thanks. I'm not changing my guitar's perfect setup just so I can play slide alittle easier on one or two songs.
