Must have been cathartic for him, that one. I get goose bumps to remember it.

Oh, now we've done it. I'm going to have to go put that on now ...

The John Lennon / Plastic Ono Band LP was recorded when he and Yoko were going through Primal Scream Therapy sessions with Dr. Arthur Janov.

Right, Kris. Yoko put out a counterpart album about the same time. It had them in reverse position on the front cover photo. I, faithful collector, passed it over in the shop as would become my habit with most of their collaborations and too many of his solo works. :(

I remember this, and also listening to the end of "Well Well Well" on my eight-track in my Fiat back then (1971). A woman in the car next to mine at a stoplight acted like she couldn't wait for the light to turn green! Bam! She was gone like a flash.

jingle_jangle wrote:That's called "spontaneity". And Lennon's spontaneity is often preferable to Macca's contrivance.

But the two of them together made one 100% songcrafting juggernaut.

Macca, tight-a**ed Teddy Boy and Lennon, loose as a goose and guilty as hell. Quite as different as can be...
Contrivance needed spontaneity more than v.v.
Peace, out.....Goofyfoot.
