Why do the 300 series guitars get all of the glory when the 600 series is clearly superior in terms of both looks and playability?

I can talk about playability of the 600 series (mine is on the way home) but I always love to play guitars with less exposure. That's why I choose to buy a 620/12 instead of a 330-360/12. That's why I play a Gretsch 6120W-1957 (the only Gretsch with a P90) instead of playing a regular 6120 with Filtertrons. Don't get wrong. I love the 300 series (I used to have a 360 that I trade for the Gretsch) but sometimes it's fun to go the other way!!! God I want a 650A so bad

Laugh all you want, but compared to a 600, a 300 is just firewood ! :)

Scored this 660/12 Montezuma Brown new a few years ago. Sold it. I'm a semi-acoustic/hollow body sort of dude. Peace, out.....Goofyfoot.

That was a beautiful 660/12 David ! I've got a left handed one, but I never thought the gold pickguards and TRC looked good on MB, so I sent the TRC back to RIC and bought a white one and got white pearloid pickguards from Pickguardian.

I always liked the gold guards on my MB Ricks, but those MOTS white ones do have a lot of charm. That's a lotta bang for the buck, Brian!

Yep, that's the ticket, Brian --- a marvelous rendition! Props to you, brah, for having good taste. Thanks for sharing your pics. On the 660-series, the gold TRC/PG and B/W herringbone body trim accentuates and complements the Jetglo color the best. It's a sublime combo and stunning visual, IMHO. Oh yeah, another reason I sold my 660/12 MB was because I prefer the narrower necks on the 300-series. Keep on keepin' on, man.....G-foot.

You're right about gold trim on Jetglo. It also looks good on MID.
