It's Baaaack!!!

Post by Ric O'Sound »

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water...

"The Sharkbite Bass"

Although now it's been christened the "Kettensägenmodell" (Chainsaw Model) in the listing. His "Buy it now" price seems rather optimistic if you ask me. I don't get this guy... If you're gonna pay the high overseas shipping rates and then the customs and duty (a total of exactly 23.7% of the purchase price in "Deutschland") in order to import something only to turn right around and flip it, you might wanna make sure the item that you buy is...well, flippable.

How can anyone do such a thing to a piece of craftsmanship like that. I hope no-one from the Ric factory sees that. What a disappointment that would be to them.

I recall that the last time this popped up, there was some speculation as to wether this represented the fury of a scorned significant other.

I'm sorry to say that this doesn't seem so...a glance at the photos below shows that there was some premeditation in the creator's art:

As you can see, someone actually sketched out the extent of the damage with a sharpie before execution...

Execution being the operative word here ...

This is like looking at crime photos, kinda sickening and fasicnating at once, I feel like I walked into someone's nightmare :(

Maybe we're looking at this all wrong......we should treat this as an autopsy.......you know.....getting a glimpse of the guts of a Rickenbacker bass....
