My thanks to JDog for lending me his BEAUTIFUL 730 12-string - if they were still available, one would definitely be on my wish list! Maybe someday...

Thanks to you guys posting pictures and video! It's almost like being there... well... I'm sure it's not even close. Just the same, it's fun to see what it was all about! Maybe, someday, we can figure out how to have one of these get togethers somewhere near the Rockies (or Montana even better). The maybe some of us folks far from either coast could make it!

Hey, that's a good start to a name, "The Rockies Rickenbacker..." hmm, can't think of what should come next.
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

bassduke49 wrote:Ahh, I was wondering about the white bass with the black headstock. How was that done? Just masked and painted? Was that done by Camp or a subsequent owner? I'm going to play "Ocean Gypsy" now in your honor!
it looks like it was masked off and painted black, the rest of the headstock is still white. I think Jon did all the mods to the bass, including the DiMarzio P pickup and the mini switch, which sounds like it is a cap bypass switch. The jackplate is upside down! When I first plugged in I did not get the neck pickup. The bass still sounds great; I played Running Hard, Song For All Seasons, and Black Flame on it, plus some other bits. The bass thanked me for doing so, it seemed very happy! :D This is my holy grail bass! :D
