Thanks for posting those videos Gil. The Nation of Israel is always in my prayers and I am glad to see you have the right tools and the right people to protect her. Flying on one wing is an incredible achievement and it shows how well trained the pilots of the IAF are. You are obviously proud of your armed forces and I believe that you should be.

When I was in Tel Aviv in 2000 I had the honour of meeting and talking to a number of IDF personnel and I discovered that they too are well trained and ready for any and all difficulties and danger.

Great videos Gil! Thanks for posting those. I had heard about the one wing plane from a couple of Israeli friends of mine (they live/work in Rehovat) and found that lousy picture when I saw this thread. It was neat hearing the actual pilot talk about the incident.

I'll have to agree with you that the IAF is the most battle experienced in modern times!

True, but the wings don't need to be the same length. There was a WWII German aircraft, the Blohm & Voss BV 141, that had an asymmetrical wing design, the fuselage being on one side of the plane:

Note the 'missing' half of the tail stabilizer, too!

You've got to admit, those Germans in WWII had some interesting/bizarre aircraft designs...
