Ya know Jim, before I opened this thread and saw that you had posted, I thought you were announcing your goods news. Still keeping my fingers crossed and sending my positive vibes your way.

Andrew, if you're already counting and it's only been two weeks, it's gonna be a very long wait. I amtwo months into my 12-18 month wait, but wasn't really thinking about that until you posted. :)

Thanks for the good vibes, Lynda. I was hoping I'd have the guitar by Thanksgiving Day so I'd have something to entertain myself with after dinner. (I'm not much of a football fan, and my brothers-in-law and father-in-law are.) So I'm holding out for Christmas. I'm certain that my closest friends are getting sick and tired of hearing me mention the name Rickenbacker at every possible turn of the converstaion.

Longer than you think, Lynda. I just passed the 29 month mark waiting for my 360/12c63 that the dealer already had on order when I put a deposit on it.

And Brian was one of the first on the Forum to receive his Lemmy! Of course others here have Lemmy's, but they may not have ordered them and waited like Brian did. I suppose there are some who have ordered a Jazz-bo who have waited longer:

I don't believe there are any active Jazzbo orders out there.

The other think to consider is that waiting for a hand carved limited edition instrument is a little easier to swallow, I imagine, than waiting so long for a regular production model.....special color or not.

Now I'm playing the waiting game again on a smaller scale and with a more certain timetable. My Laredo is at Paul W.'s awaiting an extensive 5 string conversion that should be done around Spring of '10.

Thanksgiving will be three years since I reserved that beast. I guess it's a little disappointing that a couple of L BBRs were shipped there before the Cii, given that it appears that the Ls weren't ordered until December. That assumes, of course, that all of the orders are listed on the order page (it makes sense to order a few "extra" over the course of time that aren't listed so I'm not really all that upset about it). Hopefully the wait won't be much longer.
