ISO an Accompanist – Northern Virginia

Post by firstbassman »

As some of you might remember, I quit my band last year. For most of the time since, I’ve been playing acoustic music with two other fellows, who just informed me that they have no interest in playing in public. So the entire past eleven months learning songs and rehearsing has pretty much been a waste.

Before I shoot myself, does anyone happen to know any mandolin and/or guitar players who’d be interested in accompanying a marginally talented guitarist/singer/songwriter performing folk/blues/country on a very occasional basis?

The idea would be to get about two hours worth of material and do, as I said, very occasional early evening sets in the NoVa area.

Thanks very much.

PS: I could go the CL route but I doubt that will be successful.
