Unbelievable isn't it? Can you imagine how well it will look when it has aged? Not that there is anything wrong with it in its current condition.

Wow, that doesn't even look like maple! Very nice!
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Wow, that's a nice one! Things are only worth what you want to pay for them, so if you are jazzed about this guitar, you didn't overpay. Enjoy!

Holy Moley!! I'm a sucker for wood grain/character, and that's about the sweetest MG I've ever seen in my life! I saw a 330 on eBay once that had pretty pronounced graining, and I almost bought it too... But it wasn't nearly as nice as that! I'm soooooo jealous....

If John or Eric or Kenny or Ben sees this, would they please comment? This is a truly remarkable piece. Is this as special as it seems
or just another day at the office??

Just seems like a very interesting piece of maple they started out with. (ie...I don't think JH or Ben or anybody there had the time to sit back and think, "oh, I'll make an oddball today!" I think it was just a random 330MG with some cool wood. Kinda like the variation on the 381's.

That's very cool! I have a new Fender American Standard Telecaster (Natural) with almost the exact same contrasted shading, but I've never seen a Ric like this - usually the grain pattern is much more subtle. More pics please!

Piling on late, and with no intent to be a party-pooper, I will say digital photography can work wonders. The pic looks like it's been sharpened, exposure increased, and contrast heightened. I hope I'm mistaken, Craigger. Great score, nevertheless. Keep on keepin' on, brah.....Goofyfoot.
Play on, pick often, jam with any Rickenbacker, and prosper.
