My Latest Acquisition

Post by longboard_ric »

I picked up a nice little 610 FG on Monday. The serial number indicates a January 1988 manufacture date.

There are a few small chips in the finish and some light surface scratches which would probably polish out, but no major damage. The pots are also a little scratchy but that is easily fixed.

The neck is thinner than my 2007 620 or at least it feels that way, and it plays beautifully. There seems to be a lot more punch to the pickups but this may be partially due to the fact that it has what appears to be 11 - 48 Roundwounds on it.

I like this one so much it could prove difficult to part with it !!! :D

A couple of pics.

Nice! Sometimes it's the surprising little finds like that that end being the best players or the more inspiring guitars. Congrats!
Thanks!

It most definitely is much thinner. I've been raving about '85-88 necks for some time now. If you like that, try a 12 string from that period!
