370/12 Fireglo on it's way...

Post by lovecity »

STOKED!

This will be my 3rd Rick. The first being a 650D (which I no longer have), and the second a 330MG (which will never leave me!).

Should be here Monday, although it was SUPPOSED to have shopped out today. (and gotten here tomorrow... errr) Very excited.

It's the same model that's been up on the Music Zoo site (still is) with the rad flame/quilting. http://themusiczoo.com/rickenbacker/Ric ... 37455.html

One thing though... I'd read here and on the official Rick forum that these guitars are hard to play. I didn't think this was the case.. but I went and played one just to be sure.

This couldn't be further from the truth... and I am a big guy (6' 2").

I have another 12er, a mid 60's Kapa Continental (Made in USA with Hofner Pickups!), that I used for half our set (switching from a 65' Silvertone 1457) but after I got the Ric.. it was almost a mute point. The Ric sounded sooo much better than the Kapa.

Now I am excited to include the 370/12 in more songs since it's so amazing!

Ok.. I'm rambling.. let's narrow it down:

I'm very excited about my new Rick and I don't understand why people seem to have so much trouble with the regular-necked 12 strings.

Righteous score, Justin. Props to you on your new acquisition. Make sure you wear your Oakleys when you open the case the first time. You don't wanna get "boinked" by the glow. Late.....Goofyfoot.
Play on, pick often, jam with any Rickenbacker, and prosper.

well it is not as much trouble with narrow neck- but you have to watch your style... so i do wish they would make wide neck 360/12. i love those 660/12 necks and they are just hint wider and that does it for me.
dusan palka who is also known as grazioso on infamous auction web site

Seems everyone is almost as stoked as I am.

The retailer sent it a day later than they'd said.. which means it had to spend the weekend trapped in a trailer somewhere... and boy was it cold here in the North East.

I supposed this means I can't open it for 48 hours? Uggghhh....

I also read 24 hours. That sounds a lot better to me!

Photo-sesh when I finally get this guy out in the air.

Haven't had time to do a proper photoshoot... but here's a quick pic I took with my camera phone this morning.

Can't see the grain whatsoever in this shot...
