A big thanks to Kevin Kuney!!!!

Post by paologregorio »

Hi all,

I just wanted to give a big THANK YOU to Kevin Kuney for agreeing to sell Larry Davis a much needed Accent Vibrato for the "Big Red" 360 WB refinish project he's working on for me. :D

Kevin is one of our Ready, Steady heroes, always ready to help and a true Rick enthusiast. That Red looks superb, Paul! Kudos to Larry.

Yep. :D Rickenbacker "Fire Engine Red"; the color sample matches Gary Clauson's 325 perfectly.

Larry's been great! A big thank you to him as well. I'll do a monster post with pics and a major thank you to him when the guitar is all done and back here. The Accent was the one missing piece of the puzzle, which Larry was generous enough to hunt down fow me, contacting Kevin, who agreed to sell one. :D As many of you know, I'm a whammy bar nut, and all my six string guitars have them. :D

Paul, you are welcome and I am glad I could help out with your project. Larry does beautiful work and I am sure your red Rick will be fantastic when it is finished.

Thanks to everyone for all of the positive comments.

Jeff, as of Dec. 7, 2008, I have no fire trucks. I am now officially "retired " and already bored. :(

As soon as it comes home it will probably be my main guitar. That particular WB is a very light, resonant guitar, the lightest guitar among my WBs. I never played it on stage before because I thought it looked a bit bland for the band, though I used it for one of the basic tracks on "The Way That I Was". With its new flashy red finish and tall frets, it should be even more of a dream to play than before, and a visual stunner as well.
