J-Dog's new avatar.....a note of recognition

Post by leftybass »

J-Dog, I have been on the Forum and have noticed that your avatar has changed.

I must say, while appearing to be another quantum-leap into modern art and breathtaking in itself in concept and execution, AND how rare and in-demand this style of avatar may be, I must without haste bring up one small point....

It appears that you have me credited as the artist of your fine work. While I am humbled to be considered the creator of such a benchmark of artistic flair, I simply cannot take credit for something that is so near God-like in it's perfection.

I DO, however, know who is responsible for bringing this artform to the masses. After my trip to Sotheby's in London to bid on my current avatar (and being the winning bidder at $750,000.00), I was able to really examine it in detail and determined that it was the first of it's kind, in the same manner that the Big-Bang was the first of everything that is or meant to be.

One revelation in this examination was that I actually found a signature on mine, a Eureka moment for sure.

There it was, scrawled on the back in the upper left-hand corner in the same ancient formula of oil-based paint used by DaVinci was the name........wait for it......it was......

John Williams.

I cannot take credit, my friend. He is the artist of my own avatar, an artist for the ages. I'm getting misty, so I'll stop now....

I very well remember Mr. WIlliams fine artistic flair when his piece was submitted as the new logo idea for this very forum, John. Every nuance of his work is outstanding. It was very reminiscent of art work I'd witnessed in my early years. A fellow classmate, Ikey Gene Watson, provided the same hand for art of this magnitude. He was 7. The toughest five years of Ikey's life was second grade.

Yes, the masters are mere hacks in the presence of such natural talent...If they had only been alive to study under the great master....the art world would not be the same today.

From the minute I cast a gaze on this, I knew it had to be mine. I have never witnessed such an imposition of form upon kaos before or since. John williams is truly the master.

Mr. Simmons, thanks for clearing that up because I initially thought that you were going behind my back making up avatars for other clients using my "stylistic" approach. Thanks for coming "clean".

BTW: I am still offering my service for only .50 per avatar.
Thats .50 for every viewing. Peter can we set that up?..........
