Oddly, my wife showed me that video last night...

Hmm, a couple of years back I got her a Caterpillar Skid Steer loader for our anniversary, I wonder if she's trying to tell me something...

Hey, when was the last time you spent $46k on a present for your wife?

In all honesty, it's actually what she wanted. She even picked it out! 8)

That is pathetically typical of today's advertising climate - making men look like total idiots and buffoons. I hate them and am personally offended by most advertising. I just hope our daughter that has the advertising and marketing degree will hone her skills at her present job and eventually land a job at the national level where she can bring a level of intelligence to the medium.

John, John, John....that sort of men-as-dummies & buffoons started a long time ago. Ever read the comic strip "Blondie?" Yup...Dagwood Bumstead....nuff said.

I know and realize that Jim, but about 4-5 years ago it became the norm to make men and especially Dads look like complete idiots in commercials. I.E. how many times can the guy bounce off the Windex'd window and his smirking wife wash it again while the crows outside laugh themselves right out of the tree??

Well considering that mine REALLY screwed up last year, but then again I wasn't into guitars yet, hopefully this year won't be another disaster!

I agree 100% John, the advertising industry has done quite a job in helping to hurt a womans self image and turn men in to a laughing stock. Women have to have the bodies of 8 year old boys, have both a high power career and be a full time mom with perfect makeup and hair. Men have to have abs of steel, extremely well paying job with a top of the line car, tons of expensive toys,a million dollar house in a good neighborhood, and be dumber than a doornail. I find it destructive that they market to a demographic that is the smallest part of society. Apparantly, people somehow buy in to it, and spend a good portion of their lives unhappy because they can't live up to the ridiculous standards they see on TV and magazines.

Unfortunately, sex sells, as well as stupid men, and I don't see it changing anytime soon. I must admit, however,I never thought I would see fuel drop so much in price recently, so I hope I'm wrong again.

What gets me more is the latest of having complete imbecile losers using the product. If they want you to buy by association, why the hell would I want to be associated with a bunch of moronic losers????!! Sheesh.... [takes to deep breathing exercises]

John and Mike whilst I thought the ad was slightly funny because I have always wanted to buy my wife tools for Christmas as a joke  , I have to say that you are both on the mark.
