New Bass

A couple of months ago, my wife started playing my J-bass. Alas, she is a small woman and the bass was too big for her to play comfortably. So today, we were walking past one of the major music stores in Toronto and we stopped in for a look. We ended up walking out with a Squier Bronco bass for $170 Canadian. Not bad for her to learn on, imo. Plus I can play it too!
I also looked at a blue Hofner short scale, but it was more than she wanted to spend.

Cool little bass. Basically a Musicmaster RI with a maple board and more pleasing-to-the-eye pickguard. For the dollars, 'tis hard to beat.

The pickup is kind of average, but a replacement would cost as much as the bass!!!

I used to have one about 5 years ago, I enjoyed it. Good bass for kids or small hands. Here's my daughter Skyler using it back then.
