Double bound, bound sound hole?
Did Rickenbacker ever make the 21 fret 330 shape during the 1960s both with a double bound body AND with a bound slash sound hole? I know the modern verison 360v64 is double bound, but the sound hole is unbound in the ones I have seen.

I've never seen one of the 21 fret models with a bound sound hole
Re: Double bound, bound sound hole?
there were some 21 fretters made with with bound soundhole, bound neck and dot fingerboard and r tailpiece. i have seen one late 80's/early 90's dark fireglo rm style in germany many years ago...so you can try to locate one like that. it will take whole lot of love & patience to locate. or another approach (the easier one) is to have some good luthier to put binding on unbound one.
dusan palka who is also known as grazioso on infamous auction web site

How 'bout an unbound 330 body with a bound sound hole???? Yes, I have seen at least one. It is in the Smith book in the color section if anyone wants to look.paologregorio wrote:I've never seen one of the 21 fret models with a bound sound hole
A Firelgow 330/12, maybe one of the first......from '65 IIRC.

No surprise there. All WB's had bound sound holes, but these weren't made in the 60's as originally queried. 60's-era Ricks with bound sound holes are indeed very rare.
