Re: The Horror!!!
The problem with that is there's already too round of a radius on there.cassius987 wrote:Turn it into a faux S bass!s4001 wrote:beatlefreak wrote:Doesn't look like anything that couldn't be changed back to stock without too much trouble.
Except the routed edges where the binding was.

Re: The Horror!!!
This can be a problem--taking the binding off and removing the rabbet where it rested, requires a radius that can be too large, or "soft".
Re: The Horror!!!
You never know what a guy is thinking. But, it went for 1200 bucks. It's not as bad as the one with chumks cut out of it. But still a real monster. Go figure

Re: The Horror!!!
Why not complete the look with a brass pickup surround and tuners? Think of how much sustain that would have added!
I hope whoever got this bass is happy with it.

It's back! Maybe the buyer backed out. Or maybe it's a double whammy! There is still 9 days left as of this morning.jingle_jangle wrote:I've got a gallon of that paint left over from painting an old John Deere lawn tractor...I think he used a roller, judging from this photo:

Re: The Horror!!!
It's back, but I think it's a different seller, at least the ebay user is different. The first time it was being sold from California, now it says Missoula, Montana. Interestingly, the text and everything is the same except now it's not ended with "Cheers Billy". Oh, and it's got free shipping now instead of $50.
Might be a case of buyers remorse?

Oof. Somebody must not have been comfortable restoring it to stock after all and regretted all that heavy metal... I mean brass.cjj wrote:It's back, but I think it's a different seller, at least the ebay user is different. The first time it was being sold from California, now it says Missoula, Montana.
