Buffalo NY -Shops / Ricks

Post by teeder »

I'm going to be in Buffalo next week for some classes and would like to check out stores that may be worth going to.
Any locals have suggestions?
Maybe a mini Buffalo Confluence?

The first "store" I would check out is in West Seneca. I think it is called The Dusan Garage Shop! Well worth the effort, going by my firsthand experience. :D The proprietor might even cough up lunch, and not in the Graham way!

Jackson Music on Grand Island is a Rickenbacker Dealer. Grand Island is a bit of a drive from Downtown.

Top Shelf Music is a great vintage / used shop. Not sure if they have any Ricks.

Kevin, remember your hip boots - Buffalo usually has a tad more snow then Erie!

Thanks John!

I'll be driving my 4X4 pickup!

I just heard on the news this morning that we already have 50% of our annual average snow fall. We're on pace to receive around 120 inches. :(
Why do I live here again? :?

On a better note, Dusan and I have been talking and will meet one night. :)

Back when I went to college in Ithaca, House of Guitars was the place to go in Buffalo for cool guitars. Are they still in business? Roy

Kevin, Kaija left Erie in the summer and is enjoying mid 70s on the Arizona desert right now. She flew home for Thanksgiving into snow and it reminded her what she doesn't miss from living in Erie.

i would love to go out to eat but unfortunately i am stricken by exotic stomach bug so all i have been eating this week is like two kinds of tasty antibiotics, chicken broth and bit of tea :(. today is the first day i chanced coffee and bit of doodling on 4001 and it was ok so i guess i am on my way to full recovery but it is rather slow. i don't even remeber when it was last time i went this long without coffee and playing a guitar. oh well i am sorry - barn and cup of coffee will have to do this time...people when someone tells you: "eat your lettuce - it is good for you" send them to....

I was in House of Guitars this past summer. His nice pieces were way up and out of reach.
When I started to ask questions about one, no one in the store really wanted to talk about them. I finally got a price on one, forget which, and it was completely out to lunch.
I have noticed recently that he is trying to sell a few off on Gbase.
