IIRC, October '65 was the debut of the first 4005.

Jeff, where did you get a time frame narrowed to a month? I've never been able to get specific information such as that from "official" sources.

I will have to check around, but I was initially under the impression that 1966 was the intro year for the 4005 until I read that little tidbit somewhere.

You are probably right, John, I think I was going by a photo on page 102 in the Smith book showing that 4005/6 at a trade show in October 1965.

EIxxx (that's an "I" as in "eye") so Sept. 65.
