Naked 4001 on the Bay

Well, regardless of what it may lead to, assuming that unfinished '4001' is legit and supposing no legal issues were involved, if I were the successful bidder I simply would leave it alone - I wouldn't finish it. Makes sense?
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.
That's the problem with using it for a project, well there's two things actually. One, if legit it's kinda a collector's item. Like when I was in the baseball card business and people had uncut sheets of trading cards.
Two, if you did try to make something out of it, those truss rods have never had stress in over 30 years(wish I could say that)no telling how they'll react to strings.

" It's not where you are, it's who you're with.".
Jeffrey,
How is this an invalid item? And if your brother does have a Tucker radio still in the box, considering that only 50 or so such cars were made(47 of which are still registered),it would be worth whatever one of the lucky 47 was willing to pay to make his car complete. If you're not into the collector car hobby then you really have no idea of how much these people are willing to pay for NOS stuff. Then again, you're probably just being sarcastic....
