Hi Dane, that's a great job you did on that conversion and while it does lose it's 4004 identity I can appreciate the work and planning that went into it. The hb1's really sound great with a good B string, I highly recommend the LaBella HRS taper core in .128. If you ever want to use a smaller tuner and get the vintage look, the Hipshot ultralights are available with the cloverleaf keys, I put these on the Cii/5 conversion that I sold to Brian and they looked pretty good. I still have my jetglo Laredo conversion and I think it's pretty cool that even though I did mine the unorthodox reverse "tuner in the wave" method, the keys come very close to the same positions as one done the factory/ Dane method... :) .

This is the only picture I have of the cloverleaf hipshots on the Cii conversion, the mapleglo between Jdog and I.

Thanks Bruce. Didn't you sell yours on Ebay recently? Hey Joey, I think a black teardrop guard would look good on that 4004JG.
