I did have a piece of the famous Casbah Club's ceiling that was painted by John and some famous others.

Not a serious collector, but I do have the covers from the 45s I bought in the day.

I will if I can get a hold of the guy I sold it to. But if you have the book about the Casbah Club, the part of the ceiling I had is the silver stars with the black background.

I'm not a serious collector, but can't pass up on certain things. These are six special things:

1 I have that one bootleg with the 6 versions of Strawberry fields.
2 black Gretsch 6117 cateye from 65 looks kinda Georgie from far away
3 Hofner icon..had to outfit w teacups
4 rick 370 vp. doesnt look to lennony, but has vibe
5 various bands doing beatle covers on all formats.
my favorite is "The exotic beatles vol 1" various animals singing we can work it out!!
6 How could anyone not love that clip of them acting in that Mid summer nights dream skit!!
I really liked this topic, made my day!

I used to be pretty serious. (Working in record stores for eight years helped facilitate my habit. Probably was the reason I chose that profession! It wasn't the pay, certainly.)

While my collection is surpassed my others', it's not bad. Lots of Japanese red vinyl w/OBIs, a third-state Butcher, lots of copies in original shrinkwrap, some 45s w/sleeves, lots of head-shop bootlegs, the UK Let It Be box set w/the book, stuff like that.

I started a crusade last year to get nice clean copies of the '68 green Capitol target label LPs, which I think are downright sexy.

Tadum! tadah! The one I grab if there's a fire. Along with my two boys of course!
oh I was looking at the Green Capitol label there...How about that chord change from B to Bb in "Things we said today" isn't listening to that a continuum of a collector moment!!?

That's a 6117? The 6117 is the 75th anniversary model and looks quite different than that Gretsch!

Here is a pic of my 1961 6117, which by the way, denotes a Sunburst annie, there is also a 6118 which is Cadillac Green.

Nice Jeffro, The Cat eye shared the same model designation as the Anniversary. (prolly made a lot of extra labels back in Brooklyn) Appointments such as the Hi Lo trons and the Tennessean sized single cutaway pretty standard fare. I added the bigsby to mine, I mean whats the point of owning a Gretsch w/o a bigsby? I seance-d George about this and he totally moved my teacup on this. He thought by me adding the grover imperials was a little to Liberace though!
Jay Scott told me they made 100 of Red and another 100 in black, half went to Manny's and the other went to the west coast.
I've seen 3 others, one by a guy in "The ocean Blue" another in "Urge OVerkill" and finally a fab east coast Beatle inspired band called "The Vipers"! They were great!
