RICKENBACKER 350 MG (LATE 80S/EARLY 90S)

Post by hawksmoor »

Hello,

I have been interested in acquiring a Rickenbacker 350/6 MG with black hardware (I don't even know if this model has a 12 string version).

I have limited knowledge of Rickenbacker but I have heard and been told that these guitars are rare.

Would anybody be kind enough to offer a guide price on what to pay for this model and how much price should vary with condition. However, please note: I am only interested in a non-Beatles type model, the ones I am interested were made in the 80s until the early 90s as far as I am aware and can be noted on the link below:

Many thanks.

P.S.

If anybody is selling one, I may be interested!

Joshua, welcome to the RRF!

Unfortunately, as I've told you in the posts (and cross-posts) you made in the RIC forum, a 350/12 MG/BT is a super-rare item, if, in fact, any were ever built. And until we have an idea of existence, we can't plot value. If there were twenty made, we could arrive at some sort of monetary valuation. But, if there were only one or two, it's pretty much whatever the seller would take to part with it. This represent a factor of 3X or 4X over the scale of value, from low to high.

Anybody ever seen one of these rarities?

:?: I have been perusing lately for a six-string 350, or 350v63 in mapleglo- with standard chrome trim. Is this configuration also an oddity, or rarity ?
Haven't bumped into any on the Bay, or elsewhere ? Thanks, Vker.

Thanks Damon- I'll see if I can get some info about it.
I was wondering if this was a regular production
configuration. 350v63's appear to be quite scarce
in any config- but the JG's, and FG's appear to be the predominant
colours.

I established this post not regarding the v63 guitars. Too many Beatle clones about.

I have the Axe you want - It originally was mapleglow with black harware. I sold the black and bought chrome. It has a american bigsby b-5, and Emgs with mid boost. I replaced the Tuners with matt finish chrome sperzels. I have the original higains pickups and wiring harness too. I also have the original black two tier pickguard. I made a Black pickguard for it with strat style switching. The truss rod cover is black. Its in good condition. A few marks hear and there but mapleglow hides them well. The headstock has two funny marks on it from haning on a rubber stand and are only visible from the backside. If you are interested I'm asking 1400 plus shipping I will spilt paypal fees. Let meknow and I will take pictures and post them here. John

Sounds kinda gnarly. What kind of EMGs fit in a RIC?

Joshua!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

How cool is that. It would be the very first MG/BT 350 I've ever even heard of...

EMGS SA's under te stock ric covers. The small knob controls the emg mid boost.
I have the original High Gains, Harness, and two tier balck guard so that can be put back should the new owner want to do so.

The back has some nice figure ...
