Ummmm, im a tad bit confused. Ive seen some videos of the Jam where paul weller's rickenbackers have pickups near the crowns, rather than lower into the body. And the necks end near the top of the body, rather than into it. any information?

I don't know why, but I'm diggin' that metallic red... I'm a little confused, though... Is that a refin? custom? What year is that? It looks like it's got the new/old slimmed-down headstock.

Looks like a late 80's Ruby 330.That is most definitely not the slim headstock.

I don't mind 24, but prefer the 21 fret neck myself. It just looks right, especially with toasters. To me, that's an icon as important as a traditional Strat or Les Paul.

You look at a modern 24-fret 360 and you can see the flat bit where the neck pickup was supposed to be. Breaks my heart.

+1. If Rickenbacker started producing 21-fret standard models again, I would immediately buy one. The 24s have nothing on the 21s aesthetically, and functionally I never use the extra three frets. Might be nice on a Les Paul, but not worth the "big-forehead" compromise on a Rick.

Anyone who prefers 24-fret models has 30 years of non-vintage, non-overpriced guitars to choose from.
