I met a forumite today...

Post by JakeK »

Today, I was at International Vintage Guitars in New Orleans, and this gentleman and his children walk in looking for Rics. Of course, I thought this was a cool person, and told him about my 1997 and 660/12TP and Tom Petty, Pete Townshend and Chris Squire posters. He told me he had about 30 Rics, and after a bit of talking, I mentioned Paul W, and he said, "Oh...of the RicKResource forum."
I said, "Which member are you?"
"Ricnut63", he said.
"JakeK" I replied, and we shook hands.
We immediately hit it off about Rickenbackers, members (not mentioning who we talked about) and music in general. I walked out of IVG (heading to the doctor's) thinking how cool it was to meet a forumite...
...do ALL of you put out good vibrations?

Jake, it seems like the world is getting smaller all the time, and it's easier than ever to share the love with others if you feel it inside. Merry Christmas!

Cool Jake. The more forumites you meet, the better it gets. Matt's a great guy.

I remember the first time I met a forumite in person. It was in 2004 at the RRF's Official Southern restaurant in Columbia, SC. In fact he had taken delivery of these about an hour before I met up with him.

Okay I can't take it anymore, what is a "numpty"?!?!?!?!?

Florida rocks, please come here and we'll hang. It was 85 degrees yesterday and should be 80+ today too. Just like the lyrics to the Cracker song "Merry Christmas Emily."
