EBAY Madness????

Post by cheyenne »

From a reputable dealer,,,whats the "out-the-door-price" on a new 4003 these days ??????

Seems alot of folks are asking $2000.00 to $2500.00 for the new 4003's. I could understand the supply and demand thing for a while, but they seem to be getting almost plentiful these days.

Did I miss something here? I know RIC had a price increase a while back, but I didnt think it was that much.

How many of those asking $2000 are actually getting it though?

For a while, dealers were not having any difficulty selling Ricks even at little or no discount from the MSRP. With the rough economic times, most of them will probably rethink their selling prices.

I will also add that while it's fine to discuss how we feel about the prices and give examples of what's going on with ebay, Craigslist, etc, let's keep actual sale prices of new Ricks from authorized RIC dealers off the forum please, thanks. :)

I was in Rocker Guitars in San Francisco today and they have a brand new 4003 MG and a new jetglo 4004L for way less than $2000.

They also have three new 620s, a 380, a 360 and a 360/12 all ready to go too.

I think you guys should be grateful about the low prices over your side of the pond. The prices for Rics in the UK are going sky high especially new ones!! I landed a new one for £1273 which is low compared to the specialist dealer prices we have here.

The lousy £ to $ rate has really hurt here, I have the cash to buy a couple of Rics I have always wanted but the price now plus shipping and duty has killed it!!

Just seeing the prices for the V63's is agonising! Let alone the 72-73 4001's.....

Cheers

That's not too shabby a price given the way things are just now. Duty's a killer every time! What colour'd you get?

Rory and Gil, you guys have PM's.

If anyone doesn't understand why I prefer to keep the actual selling prices of new Ricks from authorized RIC dealers off the forum, send me a PM. :)
