Hello folks. First post here.

I use a DynaComp with a 360-12 and any one of 3 amps at my disposal. One of the amps is a Vox AD30VT. Using the AC30 model with the compressor effect set to max. By itself it sounds pretty darned close to what my impression of a 360-12 should sound like, if one is going for the McGuinn thing. Along with the DynaComp it can be really close to the grail-sound it seems we are in pursuit of. The DynaComp with an old Princeton Reverb is OK but not close enough for my taste. I have a plan...

I have recently ordered a Janglebox (my Christmas present to myself) and am waiting expectantly for delivery. I'm also hoping to beat my wife to the mailbox so I can play with it before it gets wrapped.

Jangle on...

Aww, c'mon. Waiting a month ain't gonna kill ya. You're as bad as a little kid. Besides, I'm gonna tell your wife if you do.

I have a Janglebox and a Boss C3.
The JB is much preferred for that Byrdsy sound. Its a greata pedal.
Since I acquired the JB, I use the Boss more as a Volume pedal and use the JB for the twang.

My only challenge with the JB (which I previously mentioned on another RRF board) is that if I'm in the Bright mode, that if I push the Gain up much past the 11 o'clock position, (and if the Attack is around 12 or 1 oclock) that I tend to get unwanted feedback with my 360-12. To get that real Byrdsy sound, the JB is better in the Bright mode with the Gain and Attack further on the right, but then the feedback problem, no matter which Amp I am using. So I'm always adjusting things to try and get the utilitarian tradeoff --- maximize the "Bright" functionality with out getting the Feedback. With the JB, the Gain/Bright setting seems to feedback more than the Dark or Normal settings. Less feedback with 6 string and solid body Rics than with the Toasters on the 12... so is it something in the 12 string chime that sets it off ?
But don't take this the wrong way, I really like my JB and the folks there are real helpful when you have questions, etc.
Regards
Rich F.

I haven't had a chance to play with my JB yet, Richard. I have a late '60s solid state Kustom with a 2 X 12 cab. I'm dying to hear a Rick 360 12 string through this rig. I hope I don't have the same feed back occurance you have experienced.

Yeah Jdog, I set up the poll for a limited time. And it has expired several weeks ago.

100% Janglebox equipped. It's the best for the McGuinn sound. I think most of us know that.

Has anyone tried the Dan Armstrong Orange Squeeze? I've got the reissue module and it sounds fabulous.

Have to give it up for Steve Lasko's Janglebox!!!!

Its like magic with my 360-12 into almost any amp or DI recording.

It REALLY REALLY sounds sweet through my Rickenbacker TR-75 amp....
