I'd like a 381/12v69 AFG, just covered in birdseye. With an f-hole...

What do you think the odds of this are?
I wonder it it would be possible to do a slotted 12 string bass headstock; there would be less chance of taking out a fellow band member than with a headstock elongated to that extent. :D
Paul, there would be less chance of taking out the front row in the audience. :D
Um, well............its been said that the guitar is an EXTENSION of ones self!

Oh well....that should be pretty obvious, right? I mean coming from me, and all....

So, presuming that '09 is the Year of the Rick for me, I'd like:

1. to start doing some home recording
2. so I can post some items on the members' recordings board

Jim, you're gonna get that 360/12 this year. I have a feeling that you will!

I do hope I get a 360/12CW or V64 as a graduation present. I'm loving the sound of a hollowbody Ric 6-er, so a 12-string would probably be just as good.

Gold guards, Mapleglo, Rogan knobs...more more more. And a carved top combo. and a 360/12F. Or a combo 800 with a B-Bender. Mmmmmmm Horseshoe and B-Bender. Yum.

Here we go again....

Haven't you barely gotten the 1997 out of the shipping box?

I have to agree with Collin, Jake. Enjoy your 1997 and leave it at that for the moment. Continue to study hard and do well and think of what you'd like to DO after graduating rather than what you might be GIVEN as a reward.

It seems that graduation presents may be the norm in the US. Over here your reward is just that............ graduation!

Plus........... you'll drive us all nuts!!!

I have no Rick wish list for 2009. Good health and more quality time with my family and forum friends will suffice.

All I got was a diploma. Graduating out of summer school, I didn't even get a party.

But to be fair to my folks, they had already bought me (or helped me earn) a 1972 SG Standard, a short scale Rick tulip model, a gigantic Gretsch, and a Harmony Broadway. Old beaters every one except the SG. I didn't have much to complain about graduation after all, but I probably did anyway  I was so spoiled

I purchased my 360/12CW as a graduation present to myself when I entered college. Then, in 2004 when I graduated college and entered law school I received my father's old 1970 Gibson SG that he bought new (because at the time he couldn't afford a Rickenbacker AND an amp with the money he had). So, maybe you will receive one and maybe you won't.

However, enjoy what you have and remember you cannot play more than one at a time anyways (someone should insert that picture of Paul McCartney with all three guitars around his neck at once).

Wow, Ben, I did not know your CW was a grad present!

Believe me, I do enjoy my new 1997, it's the best one I've ever owned, and I'm not parting with it for any reason. I'm enjoying it and enjoying school, cos it's good grades that'll take me to a CW, a V64 or whatever's in the cards.
