You guys all really think that TRC is real? I mean...the bass is definitely real, but I think the TRC is suspect. It's way too small to be a re-issue. And even if it were shaved down, the third screw hole would still be much farther out (past the D string tuner, even) than it is:

Maybe it could be a real vintage one, but the color looks a little off (a little too blue-ish...and the other colors in his photos including the pick guard don't look off), the shape looks a little off, and there is no model number or "Made in the USA" screening.

I have seen so many odd variations on the plexi TRCs that I just don't know anymore. My first 4080 (where ever she may be now) had a pair of white plexi TRCs and neither had a "Made In U.S.A" and they were not the same shape as the molded one. Similar but not the same. This was the early 80's and I don't think anyone was faking them at the time.
