Awesome!

Makes me think.....Montezuma Brown is similar to Autumnglo.
Wish they still made Rics with the skunk stripe......would make my MB 4003 look even better than it does now.

I just picked up an '81 4001 in Autumnglo from Classic Axe in VA - they also had an '04 Monty 4003 int he store. To me, the finishes look almost identical, with the Monty being a little browner around the edges than the Autumnglo...

Both are beautiful IMO.

Hey Rob,

Welcome back! How did your tour of the Southwest go? I hope that the '81 4001 is treating you well.

Hey Ron!

Actually, we went all the way out to California and back! It was great except for a few minor van problems...

The '81 AG is great! I was up till 3am the night before we left working on the truss rods. I've got it pretty close, but it still needs a little tweaking. It's an awesome bass though - I'm glad Russ decided to sell it to me!

I like stories with a happy ending. I'll let Russ know tomorrow that the 4001 served you well. Again, best of luck with it.

Yeah, I tried to email Russ to say thanks again and to let him know I got the neck straightened out, but my email got bounced...
If you could let him know, that'd be cool! thanks!
