I'll be trying to learn the bass guitar, after getting a Hofner Icon last year, it's sitting in it's case begging me to play it.
Hopefully something band-related will avail itself this year!

I want to try and improve my harmonica playing, as well as getting into bass playing.

Coooool Jake - harmonica is a great instrument, as well as being super-portable and inexpensive!

This year I'm going to record some of the less drastically awful stuff I've written over the last 30 or so years with the help of my much more talented brother (he can play keyboards, guitar, bass, drums, various woodwind and brass instruments, and can program MIDI like a champ). Then maybe I'll jump genres and get more serious about jazz...

Many thanks for the link, Brian. Jack Benny was one of the true kings of comedy. Having a massive memory attack here.... pictures of mum, dad, my sister, my brother and I gathered around the old Aristone black and white full console for our weekly Benny fix.

I must admit that I have a Guinness tin whistle that's been staring at me for over a year..... might have a crack at that!

I've never been able to make a Guiness tin whistle - I prefer my Guinness to be on tap....

I'll be dusting off the trombone and starting a horn section for hire, with plans to expand it into a blues/funk revue. Serious. Or possibly a wedding band, since summer's right around the corner.

Well, I started off the New Year filling in on bass for a surf rock band from Russia.

I just bought a ukulele, so learning that.

I'm also starting my first band where I will play guitar.

I've also been asked to play bass in my first band with a female member.

Should all be fun.

I'm looking to get the Tom Jone tribute act going again. Seriously.

Good thing it's the Tom Jone tribute act as opposed to the Tom Jones tribute act!
