Searcher's Anniversary Collection

Post by edcal »

I Just picked the Searcher's 30th Anniversary CD. It is a great collection of Searcher tunes but can someone please tell me something. Who sang lead and harmony in the song (I'll Be) Missing You?
What a knockout of a song! It is really fantastic! And the best part is the Searchers themselves wrote it.

I can confirm what John wrote, the earlier version of the song (see my page:The Pre Starclub Recordings) was sung by Chris (the writer).

John's songwriting ability is almost a secret. "Til I Met You" (written for his spouse) is another great composition and performed well by John to this day. I especially like the classical guitar which is reminiscent of "Till There Was You" covered by The Beatles.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm
