When you receive your C Series Rickenbacker The Rickenbacker Forum would be grateful for your comments.

Peter,
Isn't this premature or are some people getting their's early? I was counting on September delivery, if not X-mas. Just curious.

Frank: It has been reported that there has been at least one store that did receive an instrument, perhaps from NAMM 2001. Perhaps John Hall will let us in on this. Even so, I want the word out early so that those who receive instruments later this year will send along their comments.

Peter: Someone posted a message to the newsgroup a couple of weeks ago that he had seen a 325c58 for sale in New York. In his response John Hall affirmed that there have been absolutely no C Series instruments available for sale, and that the models exhibited at the NAMM show were in his office. Now if one went out after that exchange I wouldn't know.

Thanks Matt. I can't imagine that one would go out after that. Thanks for the clarification. I missed John Hall's reply. That must be some nice office he has.

I say again: no C Series guitars have yet been shipped. Only prototypes exist and they are all right here on the wall (except for the early lefty that Paul McCartney still has out on loan).

Knowing how much Paul likes to get "Freebies"...are you thinking of making his loaner a keeper? Kind of share all of his information on the 4001s for a freebie! Then get him to agree he needs to do a Beatles and a Wings era Ric! Just thinking (errrrr...dreaming) out loud!

Sorry I missed your comment the first time around John. Let's all hope that Paul McCartney considers this new loaner to be a keeper. Jo Jo was a man who thought it (he) was a "loaner."

OK: I have reason to believe that some of the "C Series" models have been shipped and I am eager to hear all about them. OK new owners, let's hear it!

If they've been shipped, it's news to me.

I am with you John, however, I based this on a registration that I am currently following up on. It may be an error, but, as some of these instruments must almost be "out the door" by now I did not question it.

Only twelve units currently exist. Six are currently on display in Tokyo, and six are at the factory in Santa Ana. If anyone has registered one, they are either seriously misinformed or visiting from a time warp.
