If I were describing a person to you, and I said their looks were "unusual", I think you'd run for the hills!

I'm also bringing one more newly-completed acoustic to NAMM.
I'll post pics of both later this week.
Would this "newly-completed" acoustic be a beast such as we've never seen before?

Unusual, yes.
Beast, yes.
Beast, yes.
Re: Acoustic Rickenbackers
Paul: Thanks for the information with regard to Rick Nelson and Sam Cooke. I watched most if not all of the Ricky Nelson show episodes and I never remember seeing the acoustic he is seen playing in the Smith book.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Re: Acoustic Rickenbackers
Jesus, Gary has just taken delivery of a 700C/12 of his own. He's had it about a month now...
Re: Acoustic Rickenbackers
The acoustic that Jim B. played in the video was borrowed from Rickenbacker.
Re: Acoustic Rickenbackers
Let's not forget about Jim Reeves.

Re: Acoustic Rickenbackers
A very cool and probably unique Fender Jazzmaster turns up at around 1:10 in this video...it's a gold-guard '58, and I imagine it was painted Blue Boy just like Jim's jumbo Rick.
The 75th Anniversary 700C/12 Jumbo in John Hall's collection was played at the 75th acoustic concerts by both Marty Willson-Piper and Paul Kantner. I'll tell you that never before had I seen one guitar played in the same show in two polar opposite styles.

Yeah, but wait until you see Jason Feddy playing it!jingle_jangle wrote:The 75th Anniversary 700C/12 Jumbo in John Hall's collection was played at the 75th acoustic concerts by both Marty Willson-Piper and Paul Kantner. Please, continue.
Re: Acoustic Rickenbackers
Feddy is a very fine acoustic player. Would it be wrong to say he's a sometime or fulltime member of Hautewerk now?

Jason's a full-time mermber. He did a set at NAMM, and we were impressed and amazed with his stage presence, energy, and musicianship.
I want to see him with that Rick 12er, too.
