RIP Ricardo Montalban AND Patrick McGoohan

Post by lennon211 »

RIP to Mr. Roark and the Secret Agent Man. It's so cold here that it maybe the right night for a double feature in memory of them: Battleground (which takes place during the Battle of the Bulge) and Ice Station Zebra, which star the two from the thread title respectively.

Yeah..... heard about Patrick McGoohan this morning but not Ricardo Montalban.

I was a huge fan of 'Danger Man' in my younger days - McGoohan was the right sort of 'craggy' guy to play the role.

RIP gentlemen. :(

I'll second that emotion if I may Kira. What sad news.

Big loss in one day. Seems more are passing, but then we ARE getting a lot older. Too soon it could be us.

In the late '70's, my musical partner Tim and I were leaving with our demo, rejected, some disco crazed record type dude's office in Hollywood. We were scruffy. Got in the elevator and riding with us was Ricardo.

We said hello, and he said "Hello, Boys". We made him nervous, cause he skeedaddled out of that eleavtor full speed, limp and all.

We parked just up the street from him, and yup, he was getting into a Cordoba, rich Corinthian Leather and all.
