Beautiful, Paul, congrat.
I commented to Joey at the NAMM show the problem with the 4004's is that all the colors are fantastic, and I'd have to order one of each. That would put everyone else's guitars on back order, and I'd feel terrible about that

Nice color and flame on that one  I'll let you know tomorrow what mine looks like. It's in its box in my entryway right now. It's been freezing this weekend (in NC!!) and it's supposed to snow tonight. I knew I shouldn't have opened this thread since now I'm tempted to open it.

Paul, the fretboard is not laquered as specified by our catalog. It should, however, have the UV wood filler on it though!

Wow Paul, very nice Maple. Patience is a virtue and it looks like it really paid off.

Very nice, Paul. I have always loved the look of these basses....With the wide-open facing of the top, it seems to really bring out the wood and the overall finish......worth the wait, it's a beauty.

paul-that is one beautiful bass/color/finish/grain.....really like the headstock contrast finished in the blue color....just stunning. i think all of the cii's have had the unfinished 'board, but i am sure there are variations out there.... :o :?: i really love mine, but am thinking i might want to get one of the non-sandwiched/finished fb variety, and throw a toaster on it.....
