I seriously doubt Sir Paul dabbles in such triviality as Net forums
IMO - Frankly, I don't think, deep down, he actually realizes (from inside looking outward) how significant his (and their) contributions are to many of us who realize (from the outside looking inward); not to mention those that don't have a clue that what they are doing today is based on something The Beatles invented! Even Lennon said, we were just a band, who happened to make it big, is all; he never seemed to grasp the impact he had on many of us or his own significance (and we know the tragedy that resulted from his "just an ordinary guy" approach). They knew they were famous, of course, but they don't seem to have understood their significance? George Harrison often made light of it.
I'm really disappointed that they didn't film or document more of their studio efforts - I mean, after all, they were The Beatles! Every move they made in the studio is historically significant, people are still attempting to duplicate what they did with George Martin to this day! Unless they start sharing (Sirs Paul and George M.), their magic will die with them, and we will be left to hazy recollections, conflicting rumors and more. I'd really like to see them provide definitive information from the source, though I wonder if they even kept the "required" studio notes at the time, after all they were The Beatles, and many "company rules" no longer applied!
Now Howard Stern getting a signed Hofner in person from Sir Paul, green with envy
