ummm kira,and paul...the rickenbacker case as monolith was friggin' brilliant (and hilarious)- what a great thread! way to build anticipation,larry! hope you are not going to be TOO conflicted when that 4003 arrives ......ya know,trying to compare how wonderful they both are and all...

So I tell him..
"Hey, Get that thing outta the street! I'm expecting a Delivery from UPS, anytime between 9 AM and 7 Pm for a residential Delivery- So MOVE IT! so he can get through when he comes....!
...And the guy gets indignant with me-
"I have a right to be on the block...blah blah blah..."
Yeah right! I'm getting my Bass today Buddy! My Rickenbacker Bass!
My FIREGLO Rickenbacker 4003 Bass! What, ya think they grow on trees or sumthin' ya so-and-so??!!
So he says back:
"Yeah? I suppose you PLAYED one, huh, Kid? And...You KNOW that they are great, that's it, huh?"
"Well, I says, Actually, No I haven't, but ya see I post on this FORUM, and there's these other guys, and a couple girls, ya know, and...and..THEY have 'em, some of 'em even have more than one... And ...and...THEY say that theyre pretty good basses, and besides, 2 weeks ago, I got a LAREDO, Model 4004L, in MapleGlo, and it was my 1st Ric bass, so...The 4003 which should come any minute here, is PROBABLY going to, ya know, like, knock my freakin' sox off or somethin..."
So he says:
"So, you got a LAREDO, huh? What are those like? I haven't heard too much about 'em, or seen one.."
"No? I say.."Well, lemme tell you about mine! It's a GREAT bass, I really like it- The tone is so awesome, and for pocket R&B, it NAILS what I....

Ahhh, Man- I FEEL like that guy under the pendulum---
Now THAT was simply the Fire Department, the House across the street kinda started to burn down, so they had to send a couple Engines to douse it out or somethong- Hey, I ASKED them to hurry it up, because- You know.

I take it this guy is going to bypass that "wait 24 hour rule" when/if this box arrives. Best of luck getting it before the next election
