I value your skills, as well as your opinion. I was really hoping to go with a Kahler on my 1959 360F, as I like the bar on a Kahler, but I'm going to go with your expertise. Can you carve out the cavity with that "bear claw" styling ala Ibanez Jem on my guitar? I was also thinking about having a sunset with palm trees airbrushed on the guitar as well. Or maybe a werewolf. I haven't decided. This will make my 1959 360F a valuable one of a kind collector's item. I'll email you off-forum for a price estimate. Thanks.

Well, it went for $1050.00, hopefully to somebody who won't trick it out any more...

Yep, and that is a damn BARGAIN for what it is......a few parts changed out, and I bet you wouldn't even see the footprint holes, and have a c58 for super cheap.

I bet the buyer doesn't think the guy is a maroon.....after scoring from him!

A closer examination of the pickup area indicates that the mounting holes which were drilled for the Harmony Gold Foils are outside of the toaster footprint. Then there's the issue of the Sperzels, which may be covered by a new set of the proper tuners.

I bet the buyer does think the guy is a maroon, and is very glad of the fact...if not for the maroonic modifications, the buyer might not have been able to afford it.

The take away lesson here is that if you plan to keep an instrument the rest of your life, by all means do whatever you feel like with it and have fun doing so...if it's an investment you plan to part with at some point and you want to maximize your return, leave it alone.

At some point in between these two positions lies maroonland...
