Actually I wish the interview was a bit more extensive. They gave a lot of time to Justin Chancellor and Geddy Lee and other proggies. JC had a lot of good stuff to say about time signatures. I wish they had dug into CS's brain a bit deeper. I have a feeling he's already said what I wanted to hear somewhere else a long time ago, which may be why it was skipped.

I must need another cuppa joe...or 12, this morning; I've seen this threadline twice and both times I thought the "Chris" referred to was Chris Clayton, which would have been super cool as well. I probably should have known better, since it's in the "Chris Squire and Yes Forum" section, which appears in the sub heading under the threadline, but I arrange my post viewing by "view new posts", rather than section, so I didn't catch it.

...back to the coffee pot.

Got my copy here in the UK last night on the way home from work.I to wish that the interview was longer & more detailed, one question though for anyone who has this magazine.

The picture of Chris & his gear shows his Marshall head with the settigs above on white tape,my eyesight is'nt good enough to see what the numbers are and what they represent i.e bass, treble, etc.Can anyone shed any light on this for me thanks.

Using my eagle eyes (as eagled eye as 52 year old eyes get) and one of Mr. Jos. Schneider's finest
4X loupes, the best I can make out is, from left to right:

7 1/2 (black), 3 1/2 (green), 5 (blue), 8 1/2 (yellow), 5 3/4 (red), 3 1/2 (red)
--Presence-------Mid-----Bass------Treble-----High Vol--Normal Vol
There are some notes above that that has some setting for the Lakland, a scratched out one for the Lakland
and the bottom one for "Elec" (I assume the RM1999).

Good luck getting his sound!

Really? I would've assumed "Elec" was for his Electra bass.

He doesn't use it much and there are only two inputs on the Marshall. Besides, If the tech was able to spell out Lakland, why not spell out Electra? :?

Can anyone please, please, please scan me a pic of this cover? I couldn't find it on the website. What I did find on the website on the website was the interview...good stuff. Entwistle, I guess, is a HUGE influence on CS.
