Got the gig

Post by s4001 »

I auditioned for a Rush tribute band last nite. Lots of fun. We ran thru half a dozen of the tunes or so. The drummer was great - he had a lot of the samples & stuff ready to go. The band sounded real full and solid. Of course, the Ric delivered the goods. Looking forward to gigging out, this could be fun....

Congrats! Sounds like fun!

I'm not sure anyone around here even knows who/what Rush is...
Too bad, I'm gettin' rusty on all those songs.
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Congrats Scott! It sounds like great fun. I love playing Geddy Lee bass lines especially the ones from the Rickenbacker days.

Congrats. Should be fun.
Make sure to throw hemispheres (song or entire album),
and vital signs (my fave rush tune along with camera eye and a few others
; always reminded me of the music from the original terminator) into the set.
I always got stuck behind the kit for rush covers. I think I have footage somewhere
of my friends and I covering yyz (exit... version complete w/ drum solo :D ) at our high school talent show.
