Aside from Dick Dale, the mid 60's offered no better surf guitarist than Eddie Bertrand. Along with Paul Johnson he scored a huge hit "Mr Moto" with their band The Bel-Airs. Eddie liked an edgier style than Paul so left the band to form "Eddie And The Showmen". Mr Bertrand is back on the scene and better then ever :D :D :D

Three of these guys reformed a while back and released a fine album called Waiting For The Tide with an unplugged version of this song on it.

Pretty big news...John Blair who fronted Jon and The Nightriders in the 70's is back in da water teaming up w/the excellent surf band The Eliminators...The nightriders were at the forefront of surf musics 2nd wave and his a historian and author on the subject as well. New cd will be due out in awhile..here's video of the band..not the best camera work but...

John was sitting in here on rhythm..here he is back in the day w/the Nightriders..more to come...

The Lively Ones were considered by many to be the best first wave surf band. Tim Fitzpatrick is still my favorite drummer from that era..but that's another story. Ed Chiaverini aka Ed Day, was the rhythm guitar player for the band back then. Well, Ed's back here's a very cool tune of his..more to come..
