Well, no FG 4003 for me, at least not the one I drove down to see. The neck on it was just too chunky for me, although it was fresh from the factory with an 09 SN. So much for the "slim neck profile" theory! However, the trip was far from wasted. I tried out two slim-necked Midnight Blues and drove home with one of them. :D :D :D

beauty! congrats, love the new inlays...it looks esp nice with the blue, and the white binding/plastic.....so was this bass also an '09? if all of these late-period basses have been made with computerized automated lathe working,i am surprised you would find differences in the neck sizes.... :?:

Hmmm. lemme look:

What's this one??
Oh, it's a stupid old MM Sterling, natural ash, tort p/g single MM pup nope that's not it...

Is it this one...
Nahhh, silly old Warwick $$, Nirvana Black, 2 MEC MM pups...

Wait, what's in this balck tolex G&G case...?
Oh, it's my G&L ASAT, BLonde Finish (ooooooh!) Wood Binding Bird's-Eye Board, Gun-Oil tint Neck, MFD's

OK, It's gotta be in here...
Ah *&^%! Some dum ole' '69 P-Bass, yadayadayada....

OK- That's gotta be it...
JEESH LOUISE- WHat is that Godin A4SA (synth access; hexaphonic input for my Roland GR-20 OMG!! )

Oh, OK. Here it is.... the HSC says "RIC"...

Whaaaaa??

What the (*&^ kinda bass is that?! That's not a 4003! No p/g, no V-V-T-T, no slender willowy neck, such as a fair maiden might have, one who dances spryly thru the willows, 'oer the glade.... ( damn meds!)
Oh, that- That's a Laredo; MG, funkiest of the phunk, so deep-pocket you can't even find spare change...

Lemmee move it...

Well whadday know... there it is- Look! a Picture!
Ahhhhhhhh! EARTHQUAKE!

Wait, that's not a FireGlo 4003!

What.. the...H***!

Oh, yeah, it's a pair of shoes I bought; y'all like 'em??

Well, yes, as sporty as can be...!

Bought them for my first CRUISE- Inside Passage Alaska-
Never wore 'em, too sporty!

Here I am freezing my A** off in Skagway, AK-
Not a big Rickenbacker state I imagine, and Sarah Palin---No, I won't!

Plus, I will never, ever take a cruise again- Never, Nope. Bad idea..
Travel-good, Princess Cruises- Bad! (food OK, shipboard life-suck)

Oh, shoot ! I forgot this a bass forum, and that Mid Blue 4003 is schweet- I saw 'em and it's a very cool color..

Here's the headstock from my Laredo, so I am not considerd posting "non-bass" pix...
