Why ? The thread will be deleted somewhere down the line anyway...

This series of threads has been informative and fascinating from the beginning. Long may it continue. How we say things and the attitude we convey is, naturally, important.

Re: So what is Model of the Week 12???
Well, I don't want to sound like I'm in command, but I started this "Model of the Week" thing, and basically I'm going in chronological order through all the bass models as they were introduced. We just did the 2030/2050 basses, introduced in 1984, so next up is 1986 when three specific bass models were introduced. That will carry us for three weeks. They are . . . oh, let's let it be a surprise!

The "Model of the week" series has been more than informative, it has been a feast for the eyes. Thanks Paul, and to all that have contributed.

Perhaps a separate thread featuring modded basses would be more appropriate.

I've really enjoyed these model of the week threads, can't wait to see what's coming next!
A thread about modded basses would be great too, it'd be interesting to see what folks have done with them!

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Paul, your information and the subsequent follow ups re: the Models, especially since I now see that you're doing it in a progression, has really been fascinating for a newcomer to Rickenbacker basses like me.
Look forward to the next and the next-Keep 'em coming and don't stop plowing forward on that book...
I'm going through the Smith, and there is a dire need for MORE & NEWER BASS entries.

At least 14 more weeks to go, depending on how I break it down. That'll get us into summer (at least on this end of the world).

Re: So what is Model of the Week 12???
Last year (while you were away, Jim), I created the similar "Color of the Week" in the General section. You can probably spend hours looking through that if you like. But it might be fun to do it again, too. I did it in General because the colors span all models.
